Legal Malpractice: Statute of Limitations

Diaz v. Maney, ___ So. 3d ___, 35 Fla. L. Weekly D1803 (Fla. 2d DCA 8/11/10)

The client was placed on notice that the assignment her lawyer prepared for her was invalid when the trial court entered summary judgment in favor of her former husband (the assignor) in her lawsuit to enforce the assignment, but the statute of limitations for legal malpractice did not begin to run until the conclusion of the appellate process in the assignment case.
